middle school and drama

I recently read an article whereAmy Protexter had the opportunity to spend a week with one of our school partners, Henry County Schools in Henry County, Georgia. Part of their time was spent at Locust Grove Middle School. There, half of the students remain in a traditional middle school program, but the other 400 students are in the Academy program, which has a very non-traditional schedule. She was amazed at the maturity, poise, and perspective of the Academy students she met. They were focused on their schoolwork, comparing their progress with the progress of their peers in a friendly but competitive way.  When students are allowed to move at their own pace and only move forward when they have achieved subject mastery, there are just kids who are where they are and will move on to the next subject as soon as they grasp the material.

Things I've Learned in Computer Literacy.

Here are some things I've learned from taking computer literacy class.

One thing I learned in computer literacy is the importance of accuracy of keyboarding.

Another thing I learned in this class is how to make presentations and how to make them look professional.

I also learned how to use the program Open Office, which is good because I'm used to using Microsoft word.
